What happens if a meniscus lens is used in a telescope?

This is for a project of ours. We're supposed to make a simple telescope in our Physics class, is it possible to use a meniscus lens? How about two meniscus lenses? What are the effects? What kind of image is formed, an upright of inverted one?
Thank you.

Nothing will happen.
A meniscus lens is just a lens with one side convex and the other concave. As long as the lenses you use have net convexity (i.e., positive focal lengths) you should be able to work up a usable if not great telescope. The simplest telescopes are inverting. See the ref.
