If I’m building a telescope using a 2x mag. lens and a 5x lens, what’s the largest magnification possible?

This is a homework problem. I have the answer but I still don't understand... All I was given was the magnifications. No lens diameter, no focal lengths, etc.

The longer focal length lens will be the objective.
Max mag = product of mags
Max length = sum of focal lengths of the two lenses.
At a guess, I’d say 10x. Use the 5 as your objective, and the 2 as your eyepiece. I could give you better advice if I knew the focal lengths and lens diameters.
