A catadioptric is a reflecting telescope but one which has a shaped glass lens at the entry to the scope in addition to the mirror. This means that a spherical mirror, which is easier to manufacture, can be used instead of a parabolic mirror.
A film camera is going to be only for a very few people with specific needs. So, get a digital. Outside of that, it's hard to say what you should get. There are so many that meet so many different needs and we don't know what your needs are. Except maybe for the cheapest ones, they all give respectable pictures, but the features it should have will depend on you. For most people, mega-pixels are overrated. For those with a built in zoom, consider the optical zoom as the only legitimate zoom; above that, the digital zoom is just throwing out information and spreading the rest around, something better left to cropping with an editing program on a computer.
Yes. Brilliant car. Well done mate. Four star in a WhatCar User Review.

I'm not sure why you don't want your children to look through the eyepiece, as that's usually the best way to use a telescope.
There are two kinds of projection, optical and electronic. With optical projection, you just rack the eyepiece slightly outward, and it will act like the lens on a projector. This works for the Sun and Moon, because both are bright. In fact, eyepiece projection is one of the traditional ways of observing the Sun, since the projected image is dim enough to be safely viewed, though I worry about heat buildup inside the telescope and the heat in the beam as it emerges from the eyepiece. I prefer using a full aperture solar filter over the telescope's objective and viewing with a normal eyepiece; the heat never gets inside the scope. Here's one source of solar filters:
The other way is electronic: a webcam or something similar replaces the eyepiece, and allows viewing on a TV or computer screen. There are cameras specifically designed for use in telescopes, like this one:
As for pointing the scope at the Sun, it's really very easy: you use the shadow of the scope on the ground. You just adjust the scope until its shadow disappears, and then it will be pointed exactly at the Sun. It's always best to keep the finder capped, as it can cause burns too.

Any telescope is good to view the moon, but you need a lens that is coated as to keep the brightness of the moon from hurting your eyes, during magnification the moon is extremely bright , if you want to follow the orbit of the moon, you will have to get the magellan gps , that follows the moon in orbit as you watch it.

Astronomical telescopes invert the image, because you don't care that a 'star' is upside down. The fewer mirror surfaces the light bounces off of, the less light is lost, the better.
Terrestrial observation telescopes do not invert the image (by adding an extra mirror to re-invert the image). You can always buy an astronomical telescope and add an image inverting mirror, too.
Hunters use small spotting 'scopes all the time. They have the inversion built into a prism inside the scope.

At one point there were almost certainly too many photographers in Haiti. But which point? Patrick Witty and several leading photographers wrestle with the issue.
have u even read the book? he died from poisoning from a mixup of plants or seeds or something.
You hold the glasses so a light shines through them and casts a bright spot on the wall or floor. Now move the glasses closer and farther from the wall until the light from the light bulb is sharpest The closer one is stronger . I don't know about lenses for far sighted. Unless you need bifocals it would be cheaper to go to Vista and get a new pair of the ir specials. It costs more to fit lenses into old frames than make new lenses. The new ones are made by a computer controlled machine. They have a canned program. Special cuts require a technician to spend $ time to write a program for one pair. Also, They screwed up.
One of your eyes might be worse than the other but lens are usually different on the inside of them facing the nose piece
Depends on what type of camera you have. Most digital cameras have a lower limit of 30 seconds for taking an exposers. DSLR's such as Canon and Nikon have a port which you can add a piece of hardware that will override that limit. This lets you go for hours.
Another problem is that most cameras (such as the "point and shoot" type) have no direct way of attaching themselves to a telescope. DSLR's (the ones that have removable lenses), you can purchase an adapter ring that allows for a direct connection to the telescope.
As for a telescope, You need something with excellent tracking, focusing and sturdy. A $500 budget will just barely buy you a decent mount.
However, one thing you can try is wide field photography. This is where you use a wide angle lens (28mm or better, non-zoom), mount the camera on a good tripod and shoot the sky. Your not tracking the sky, so you'll need to use short exposer times, but its a great way to get started in astrophotgraphy while you save up for a good mount and telescope
yay love it

Zero magnification, the sun is the nearest star and you can see its round shape without optics.
no human being can survive a 2 storey decent through an atmosphere of 1100 degrees in a business suit, this is the temperature needed to weaken the steel core by 50% (the steel core could theoretically withstand a 2000% increase on load, giving us a 1000% leeway) most of the jet fuel would’ve burned up on impact. the building designer took into account the dumping of 1,000’s of gallons of jet fuel into his design (stilling interview 1993, in regard to a WTC being hit by a plane)
Humiliation is a failed strategy.
Germany was humiliated and then along came Hitler.
A telesphoto lens tends to be of a fixed focal length and magnification. Zoom lens are similar to the lens you have, giving you adaptability. For example, A 200mm telephoto lens is just that, a fixed 200mm lens where as say a 200-500mm zoom lens give you 200mm through 500mm to play with.

Check out the website of Meade. They sell CCD's which you can connect to the eyepice of their telescope and view the image. They also make adapters do you can replace the eyepiece with your lens.
May be possible in the future but micro 4/3 adapters are still being developed. Most 35mm (SLR and RF) lenses are now able to be attached but I haven’t seen any MF adapters yet. You certainly wouldn’t have lack of coverage but you’d be looking at effective focal lengths of 90mm and above.

Measuring scientific productivity is a concern at many different levels especially in terms for promotions and the competition brought on by limited funding sources. The area of life sciences is no exception to this; the National Institutes of Health (NIH) saw a flat budget between 2003-08. And even though the NIH will enjoy a temporary budget increase thanks to the Recovery Act and with President Barack Obama’s 2011 budget request, there are no guarantees for what the future holds. The most common method for assessing the performance of researchers is by looking at a researcher’s publication record and the journal impact factor of those the publications. A more recent development in quantifying research output is the h-index by Jorge Hirsch in 2005 that looks at scientific output also as a measure of publication citations. Bornmann and Daniel outline the methodology of the h-index and various concerns about using the metric in their 2008 publication. For those curious about their own…
