Thanks! I focused by watching the preview screen on the laptop. More recently, I used moon craters to focus on and then moved back to Saturn. I now have a little motor drive that keeps me more or less pointed to Saturn, so focusing is a bit easier. It’s a Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ, FL=900mm. I used the 3x Barlow that came with the scope, a plastic bodied flimsy looking thing. This year I used a TeleVue 2.5x Barlow and I modded the webcam to RAW frames, giving a much better result.

No, a Barlow lens has no affect on chromatic aberration. Chromatic aberration is caused by the prismatic effect of the objective lens, so a Barlow lens in the optical train can't change that. If anything, it will make the chromatic aberration appear worse because of the greater magnification. Aries makes a device called a Chromacor which is installed in the focuser and corrects chromatic aberration, but this is a fairly expensive solution and only works with specific achromats, such as the Synta 120mm f/8.3.

I'm having the same problem, I have to read Frankenstein and Mythology by the twenty-fith!! I'm just getting done with Frankenstein.
My advice to you is to just read, don't surrond yourself with distractions, go in your room shut the door and read as many chapters as you can. Then take a five or ten minute break and then go back and read. Think of it this way, the faster you get done, the faster you get to do anything else.

I happen to have a real original wet plate camera. Found it in an old building years ago. The lens is close to a large format sheet film camera. Simple large lens. Set the f stop. Cock the shutter and press the button to take the photo. No maker name on the lens. It is large, about 2" across.
West end Toronto. It was a perfect early morning viewing.. The sky was clear and crisp… I watched them come out of the southwest, pass under the moon, they faded off to northeast.. With the sun rise they were the only lights in the sky, except for the moon and venus..

They are made by the same company (GSO, I think). The major difference, besides cosmetics and branding is the ocular stop. I have a 9mm XCel, which I rarely use. The field of view is narrow and dim, which would be common for this type of eyepiece. Don't think I've ever used an Epic, so I can't give a fair comparision.
